Yes! We want to provide free access to medical information about dog health topics, so that doggo parents can make informed decisions when seeking veterinary care for their loved ones.

As we grow, we do not intend to charge pet parents for our Symptom Assessments.

Doggo.Health was created by dog owners, dog lovers and veterinarians, and we pride ourselves on the high quality of our medical information. All of our articles are written and reviewed by licensed veterinarians to ensure medical accuracy and relevancy.

Our site, health data and methodologies are all rooted in veterinary science, using many of the same references that veterinarians and veterinary schools use.

We love all animals, but we only support dogs currently. We’re focusing on building the best possible solution for doggo parents everywhere before tackling all pets!

No. It’s important to remember that Doggo.Health’s Symptoms Assessments and Results are for informational purposes only and not a medical diagnosis, so that you can better assess your situation and decide if, when and how urgently to seek veterinary care. Using our site should not and does not replace a consultation with your veterinarian.

Arriving at a diagnosis for your dog’s health situation is a medical process that usually requires a full physical exam by a veterinarian, and sometimes other diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, x-rays and ultrasounds.

Sometimes it’s hard to determine if your dog’s symptoms and behaviors are an emergency, or a more general, less urgent situation. It’s a good idea to get familiarized with common emergency situations ahead of time to avoid panicking if one of these should happen to you: Emergency Symptoms in Dogs

If you think your dog is experiencing a medical emergency, or if you are very concerned, call your primary or local veterinarian right away. If it’s after hours, you can find your local animal hospital or ER’s contact information on your primary vet’s website or call the ASPCA Pet Poison Control (available 24/7).

We love all feedback, and we’re always looking for ways to improve the Doggo.Health experience for pet parents and the veterinary community.
