Vomiting

Vomiting in dogs can occur for many of the same reasons that humans do (such as dietary intolerances, allergies, infections and nausea), and sometimes it can be due to more serious reasons, such as an illness or emergency situation (like an obstruction in their digestive tract).

While most of the reasons why a dog occasionally vomits are not an emergency, it’s important to pay attention to other serious symptoms that may also be present, such as repeated “dry heaves”, bloating, dehydration or pale gums.
